I don't really think it has set in yet, but I am just trying to do my best. I have gotten to talk to him several times so far, so that has made things much easier. We get to talk on the webcam and Graham can see his Daddy and I think Rocky really enjoys seeing Graham too. A year is a long time for him to be gone and so much is going to happen but I hope we can stay connected and he can stay close to Graham through webcam.
The last few weeks Rocky was home we tried to spend as much time as possible together. His last day home we went to the zoo for the first time with Graham. I don't really think he knew what was goingon, but he did get a kick out of feeding the Giraffes. That was Rocky's favorite part too. That made the whole trip worth it. Also, his last night home we went and got hibachi for dinner and Graham was so funny. Rocky made him look like a little ninja and he enjoyed all the banging and flames. We have some great pictures.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_qHqws9jda4o/ShrURZdorAI/AAAAAAAABGU/5IQ0xinejbQ/s320/026.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5339813703559195650" />
The day we had to drop Rocky off was probably one of the hardest days of my life. How do you tell somebody goodbye for a year when you know you can't live without them for one minute? I know he is going to come back home to me and life will go on, but I just want life to stop for this one year, so he doesn't miss anything and Graham doesn't forget who his daddy is.
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_qHqws9jda4o/ShrVu2YzsgI/AAAAAAAABGc/vS0ryMW-nLQ/s320/032.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5339815309051408898" />

When Rocky gets back from Afghanistan there will be two babies and life will have changed even more. I hope he feels like he is involved in our lives and everything we are doing over here while he is in Afghanistan. I wish he could be here for the rest of this pregnancy and enjoy everything about the new baby, but I know when he gets back he will make up for it and he will be the best father ever. He is making a huge sacrifice for me, the babies, and our country and I am so grateful, but sometimes it is hard to not to be selfish and just want him home with me. I have to remember that he is doing this so others don't have to and I should be extremely proud of him at all times.

Finally, a new post!

I know it has been a while since I have been on here, but I figured since I have my new computer and I am about to have a lot of extra time on my hands I can try and do this again. Rocky is getting ready to deploy in a few weeks so I am going to need things to keep me busy, not that a baby isn't enough. So yeah, I guess to update this, our son was born November 7, 2008 at 5:11 pm. He was 4 weeks early but you can't tell that now. He is a big boy! Now we have another surprise on the way. Yep, we are having another baby. Crazy! It will be an interesting year to say the least with Rocky being gone. Our life in Colorado is going great. I am still doing labor and delivery and I love it most days. Rocky has been trying to spend as much time with me and the baby as he can before he leaves. He always seems to be busy at work too. I don't really know what all they are doing there, but I try to be understanding. I am hoping this next year will go by fast and that we will be able to talk pretty frequently. I know I will worry a lot, but I know two babies will keep me very busy! Well we are about to head up to Vail and check on my brother's apartment for him, so I will try and be better and write more soon!

Intro

So, I have never blogged before and really didn't have much time or interest in it until now. I was placed on bedrest for the remainder of my pregnancy (hopefully 5 weeks) this past Saturday and I am already getting bored so I figured I could start a blog for my family. Most of our friends and family live far away from us so I figured this was a good way to keep in touch with what is going on in our lives. Rocky is at work right now, he leaves at 5am and doesn't get home till 5pm or later and works Monday thru Friday, so I am getting pretty lonely being at home all day every day. I have a feeling that these next 5 weeks till our little boy arrives are going to go by very slowly, between being extremely excited and not having much to do to pass the time. We have mostly everything ready for the arrival of Jackson Graham, so it is just a waiting game. I was placed on bedrest because my blood pressure was too high and could become dangerous for the baby. I also have a bleeding disorder called Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpura, which pretty much just means I have low platelets. It could become dangerous for me if they drop too low, but they also can't treat me for it till they get really low. Jackson Graham is due December 3 but they may induce me early based on my conditions. We are taking it week by week. Hopefully we make it to December 1 when my mom and dad will be here. I guess that is it for now, so I'll try and keep this updated the best I can.
